Information
Calcium carbonates were used in rubber products back in the nineteenth century and modern plastics
would not thave become so ubiquitous without them.
.
In addition to the economic benefits there are many good reasons for using natural calcium carbonate in plastics, including:
- improved colour characteristics - because of their high whiteness
- increased rigidity and thermal conductivity
- controlling the rheological properties of PVC plastisols
- improved anti-block, slip and printing properties of PE
films
- as a partial-reinforcing additive in print rollers and
v-belts
- making polymer blends easier to process
- possible cost-savings through reduced consumption
of raw materials.
For these reasons and others, natural calcium carbonate is the most widely used filler in polymer compounds today.
Together with the leading machinery and polymer manufacturers, we are constantly striving to improve our existing products and developing new ones to meet the future needs of the polymer industry
Products
Whether it is a high modulus of elasticity or anti-blocking properites you are looking for -our calcium carbonates
offer a wide range of benefits. We also supply many complementary products specifically tailored to the needs of
plastic manufacturers.
