Paper
Information
as only calcium carbonate helps produce papers with high whiteness and good printing properties -economically.
But it does a lot more.
Calcium carbonate
- allows a high filler content together with high strength
- shortens the drying time
- makes multiple coating of tight surfaces possible
- improves the rheological properties of colour coatings
These properties have led to calcium carbonate becoming the most widely used mineral in
paper- making within 30 years of it being introduced - in coated and uncoated papers,
as well as wood-free, and increasingly, mechanical papers.
We are however not satisfied with what we have achieved. Working closely with leading paper manufacturers,
we are looking for new ways of making full use of the many possibilities of calcium carbonate.
Products
Coating pigments for multiple coating and fillers with a high degree of
whiteness - our calcium carbonates cover a broad spectrum. And with our complementary range
of merchandise in the field of paper manufacturing we are able to offer tailored solutions.
